Ashtanga

Passed on through guru-shishya parampara, the present-day form of the ancient Ashtanga system was developed by Sri Krishna Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009) of Mysore, India, and his teacher Tirumalai Krishnamacharya (1888-1989). Paramaguru Sharath R. Jois embodies the lineage today.

The gradual and consistent practice of Ashtanga Yoga can be a powerful tool for healing body and mind, and for building discipline, stamina and strength on and off the mat. The yoga mat becomes a safe space for personal exploration, and the sequential asana practice a mirror for life.

Digna teaches Ashtanga in a holistic way, integrating elements of all eight limbs of the Ashtanga system. She meets students where they are at in life, emotionally, mentally and physically. In an encouraging and supportive environment, Digna guides students in building their own practice, tailored to their needs, and supporting their growth, healing and lifestyle.
